Minecraft is a sandbox/survival game depending on the game mode chosen, when in survival mode the players end goal is to defeat the final boss, the ender dragon. To do this you need to travel and search across multiple dimensions, kill various enemies ad mine for materials to build up your strength and protection.
Dimensions:
There are three dimensions in Minecraft, The Overworld, The Nether, and The End. In an average game of survival Minecraft, the player must explore all three dimensions to defeat the final boss.
The Overworld:
This is where the player begins their journey, you can find many structures here to loot and live in there are many caves going far down to mine ores to make armour and weapons to protect yourself, and tools to farm and mine faster, and mine better materials.
Getting to The Nether:
After some time in The Overworld, the player will be strong enough, in terms of weapons and armour, to travel to The Nether. To do this the player needs 10 obsidian, 4 temporary blocks and some flint and steel, you need one iron ingot and a piece of flint in a crafting table to make this. Place to temporary blocks 2 blocks apart, put the obsidian then another temporary block on top. Connect the temporary blocks with obsidian and light it with the flint and steel.
The Nether:
In this dimension there are 2 main structures, The Nether Fortress and Bastions, in The Nether Fortress you can loot chests and kill mobs to make progress towards finishing the game. There are 4 types of Bastions, Treasure, Bridge, Hoglin Stables and Housing units. The player can loot all of these to get different items such as ancient debris, gold and weapons. However the best one to loot is the treasure bastion, this is because of one item, the smithing template, as shown. This item is used (along with netherite) to make diamond tools and armour into netherite, upgrading them and giving the player more of an advantage in battle. They are most commonly found at the bottom of the bastion in chests surrounded by gold blocks and a moat of lava containing magma cube spawners. This means it is very difficult to get this item, but it can be duplicated through crafting.
Getting to the End:
To get to The End you first need to find a structure called The Stronghold, tthis is where the portal is. To do this you need to kill enderman for enderpearls and blazes for blaze rods to make blaze powder. Crafting these two items makes an eye of ender, throwing an eye of ender makes it go towards the stronghold, but only around 5 blocks away from the player diagonally upward and in the direction of the stronghold. When this happens it could break or drop, meaning the player should craft at least 5. In addition, it takes at most 12 eyes of ender to fill in the portal, as their is a chance that 0-12 (12 are needed to complete the portal) spawn in the portal, therefore the player should craft around 15-20 for good measure. After all 12 ender eyes have been placed in the portal it will activate, the player then jumps in when ready to fight the final boss.
The End:
When arriving you will spawn on a five by five obsidian platform near the island or underground inside the island. You need to build/break your way to the main island where the ender dragon flies. There are 10 tall obsidian towers with end crystals on top, hit/interact with them to break them, keep in mind they explode when broken so stand back and place blocks around you to protect yourself. Once all of the end crystals are broken you can shoot at the ender dragon without her healing, you can also wait for her to perch on the bedrock circle and tower in the middle of the island. This is so you can attack her with swords up close (attacking the head will do more damage). Once she dies she drops xp to get from 0-60 levels, and end gateway will spawn nearby, and by crawling/throwing an enderpearl into it will teleport you to the outer islands where there are end cities to loot for diamonds, armour and tools. However there is a new mob to fight, the shulker will lauch projectiles that follow you until you hit them, if they hit you, you are given the levitation effect, these mobs cannot move themselves so can be avoided and easily killed. You can also find end ships, these are flowting ships that contain the elytra.
